Thank you Deputy Chief Kane and Team,

Today was a great 1st step in doing our part as community members in assisting your vital work in keeping our communities safe and productive. We know that it “Takes a Village” and that includes our work in breaking the cycle of stigma/rejection, homelessness, unemployment, and lack of access to mental, physical, and substance use disorder services.

As my email response below to the president of the Foundation for Opioid Response Efforts (FORE), Dr. Karen Scott, indicates that there is great interest by major national funders in our innovative work through the years here in DC.
We firmly believe that our outcomes and trajectory in DC can improve dramatically by working synergistically with DCMP and others who expressed their various views on today’s call. Therefore, the Leadership Council for Healthy Communities (LCHC), chaired by Rev. Dr. Frank D. Tucker and CEO, Mr. Floyd May look forward to our next steps by offering to host a (TBA) face-to-face, inter-agency strategic planning meeting at our 10 G St, NE office.

Thank you for giving us this tremendous opportunity to express our interest in working together in addressing these complex national issues !
