This is the ultimate “Haves and Havenot” divide that will continue to drive homelessness, anxiety/depression, and rampant self-medication drug use in urban settings just as corporate deindustrialization killed the Rust Belt leading to the current wave of “White Rage,” “Trumpism,” and the “Capitol Insurrection.”
As our urban economic tax bases shrink, so too will subsidies to the poor related to essential needs like housing, community health care, mental health services, and substance use treatment. In Washington DC the Bowser-Williams (former Mayor Anthony Williams is chair of the Federal City Council) gentrification conundrum will “play-act EQUITY” in public forums, but will have no problem, behind closed doors, in cutting these services for the poor and those on the East End of the city as they refocus their energies on saving the downtown (over)developers and businessmen who pay their salaries!
This is how “The Psychodynamics of Black-on-Black self Annihilation in the Service of White Supremacy” works at the very top of the food chain then trickles down to the more visible street level crime often seen on daily TV where our increasingly parentless or abandoned children seem to mindlessly car jack and kill one another for no apparent reason!
